Beautiful and super rare 1962 IH Metro Vintage Stepvan. Here is your second chance to bid on the one that got away!! This is being re-listed due to a (well known Vintage Van dealer) not paying. IF THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DON'T DELAY....THIS IS (TO MY KNOWLEDGE) THE ONLY RUNNING DRIVING COMPLETE IH METRO IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY FOR SALE!THE GOOD: NEEDS NO RESTORATION. Runs Perfect! No rust! Arizona, California vehicle. Clean title! The van has been in storage for the last several years. Straight 6 cylinder engine with a rare automatic transmission. Just turn the key and drive away! Inside is very clean and shows none of the typical signs of high use wear and tear. Always starts right up and idles smooth. Two tone paint is shiny and looks great. Tires are in good shape with lots of tread life left in them. All glass is in tact with no cracks. Chrome grill looks like new. Heavy duty rear step bumper. To get this van ready for auction we have done (within the last 2 weeks) brake job, (brakes are strong and firm) flush and clean gas tank, rebuilt starter, rebuilt carburetor, installed electronic fuel pump, flushed all fuel lines, new battery and had our mechanic shop complete a 44 point safety inspection. We have repaired or replaced EVERYTHING he suggested to make this the most reliable road ready Metro you will ever find. There is even aluminum channeling added on the sides by the previous owner if you want to use it for advertising. Just slide a sign or banner into the channeling without having to use adhesive or screws. Doors all slide open and closed with ease. THE BAD: 1 tiny dent on the rear passenger side corner (see photo) only about 3x5 inches and hidden by the bumper. You might not even see it if I don't point it out here. There is a small square area on the back door where the paint does not match perfect. The previous owner had a sign on the back that peeled the paint when it was removed. It has been repainted in that area but the shade is off slightly. Driver seat is OK but could use an upholstery job.
