Up for auction today I have a very cool project truck. This is a Ford Tow Truck that I bought at an auction a while back. The title says it is a f150 and the vin matches the cab, but it is a dually. I figure someone either added the dual rear end, or more likely put the 85 Ford f150 Cab on the truck. Either way it is a cool project. The cab and wrecker body are in good shape. It wouldn't take much to clean them up or leave it like it is. The underside has some rust as can be seen in the pictures. The brake lines will probably need replacing. The brakes are really weak and the truck will have to be towed. The engine in the truck looks to have a pretty new Holly Carb on it. When I picked up the truck from the auction we pumped it half a dozen times and it fired up and I drove it up on the trailer. Now it will start and then sputter and die. I think it has old gas in it. It sounded good when we picked it up. Shouldn't be anything too major. My plan with this truck was to actually buy a 97 F350 with the 7.3 and move the wrecker body onto it. It would make a sweet looking car hauler to hook up a trailer to. I was planning on mounting a winch to the wrecker bed to assist in loading cars onto my trailer.
