Vehicle Detail
I am the original owner of this truck, which I bought from Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf in 2006. I have kept up the routine maintenance of this truck, and many or most of the oil changes have been done with synthetic oil. Most of the paperwork from the preventative maintenance is available. Many of the oil changes have been done myself using synthetic oil. This truck needs some work, but can be a GREAT BUY for someone who is mechanically inclined or willing to make some repairs of this vehicle after purchase. I simply do not have the money do get the truck fixed. A mechanic would probably be able to buy the truck, make some repairs, and then sell the truck for a profit or keep it himself. Vehicle needs a tail-pipe replacement. CHECK ENGINE light has been on for over a couple of months; a diagnostic check points to a problem with the catalytic converter. I am guessing the vehicle needs catalytic converter(s) replaced, but I have not confirmed this. The catalytic converter alone would cost about $1,000 or more just for the parts. About two months ago, the truck bogged down, as some of the indicator lights on the instrument panel blinked on and off, and the truck then stalled. It started right up again, and then a little ways down the road the same thing happened. I started the truck right up, and then drove it home and parked it where it has been ever since. Now, the truck starts sometimes and sometimes does not start. When it does start, it feels like it is low on power and usually conks out. I am not a mechanic, but I believe the engine on the truck is good and that the problem with the truck can be fixed with some relatively minor repairs. The catalytic converter(s) would probably be the most costly repair the truck needs, but perhaps a much-less expensive universal could be installed instead of a new catalytic converter if this is legal in your state. The front seat cushions of this truck shows substantial wear, and could benefit from an upholstery job, although a seat cover would suffice. The running boards of the truck are rusty, but there is little or no rust on the body of the truck. Buyer must pick up truck; towing will likely be necessary. Title will be signed over after payment is received (and cleared) by buyer. PayPal is required for deposit; balance must be paid with cash, certified check, or personal check (once cleared). Potential buyers can make an appointment to inspect truck. Please inquire. Using it on the Titan, I acquired the following 5 codes: 1) P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1 CONFIRMED; 2) P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2 CONFIRMED; 3) P0455 Evaporative Emission System (gross leak/no flow) CONFIRMED; 4) P0850 Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit PENDING; 5) P0455 Evaporative Emission System (gross leak/no flow) PENDING.
