Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1986 Honda TR200 Fatcat. I restored this about 4-5 years ago. I did not restore it to be a museum quality bike, but rather one that would be a drivable one yet clean enough to run in parades and motorcycle shows etc. Looking to sell it now as I don't get to ride it much, and would like to see it ridden instead of just sitting collecting dust. Only a couple of things I know to mention is that I don't know for sure if the electric start works on it or not. When I first got it, the bike didn't run, I hooked up a battery just to see if the starter would work, and it did turn the bike over. After I restored it, I never put a battery on it since it normally starts within 2-3 kicks. And the carb need some cleaning...it starts up on choke fine and once warm it runs OK, , but doesn't want to idle quite right to my liking, and I think it is the slide that is the problem as the idle adjustment on it seems to have kind of worn a spot on it. So, not knowing for sure if the carb was bad or needed a lot of work, I have a new carb to go with it, (with new slide), which I have not yet installed. Here are some notes on it as to what was done when I restored it. frame was sandblasted and painted new fenders - front and back new Moose handlebars/grips new brake levers/perches new tires new brakes new piston rings new drive chain and sprockets new fork seals seat re-done (not factory cover or foam) tank has been lined with Kreem as it had some rust in it when I got it new UNI air filter new carb comes with bike which I recently bought new decals(they are washed out in one of the photos) I would prefer local pickup but will assist with delivering to a shipper within Kansas City area. All shipping expenses and coordination to be the responsibility of the buyer. Send note with any questions or for more pictures. If you would like to talk and ask detailed questions, I am available for that too, just send note requesting me to call and I am more than happy to call to discuss. Selling at no reserve, so bid to win. ******Additional info......I also have owners manual, factory service manual along with a box of additional parts that will go with the bike. I believe there is a flag mount bracket, foot pegs, bar clamps, triple tree parts, air filter parts and some other misc items that I kept during the restoration process thinking they were too good to throw away.
