1964 1/2 Mustang Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Selling my beautiful and very rare 1964 ½ Mustang F-code coupe. Original Rangoon-Red car with matching interior and factory 260 v8. Car was delivered to Los Angeles, CA in 1964 and never left the area (DSO-71). Still has matching black & gold California plates. I’ve owned this beauty for the past 4 years and purchased it from the original family in LA. Only reason it’s up for sale is because I’m about to start Medical school in the east coast and need to free up some money to help towards expenses. I am the registered owner of the car and have a clean CA title in hand ready to transfer to the winning bidder. This pony turned 50 this year and will only keep increasing in value so what better way to invest your money than in a classic first generation Mustang you can enjoy. When I purchased the car in 2009 the previous owners had already rebuilt the engine. Still has the original 260ci 2v engine and C-4 auto trans. Motor has about 50k miles and transmission was just rebuilt 6 months ago and has less than 500 miles drive time. Car drives great and has plenty of power! Shifts very smooth into all gears. I just had the carburetor rebuilt last month and she purrs like new. Everything is mostly stock even the factory generator. Has an engine chrome dress up kit and monte-carlo bar for better handling. Brakes and suspension are good and car handles and stops well at any speed. The car was painted shortly after I bought it in its original shade of red. There’s a couple minor paint chips from average use but nothing too noticeable. As you can see in the pics she still shines beautifully. There is absolutely NO RUST anywhere on this car. It’s always been stored in dry weather and still has original floors, frame rails, torque boxes, rear quarters, ect.. Original glass all around in excellent shape, all 4 windows go up and down fine. New bumpers, door handles, mirror, antenna, gas cap, and misc emblems. Interior looks clean and original. I just replaced the dash pad, new steering wheel, gauge cluster, and I did a full dash detail. Seats are the original ones since I bought the car and do show some minor wear but no major damage and can certainly be left as is. Car has original wheels with white-line tires (80% tread) and stock spinner hubcaps. I will include the original valve covers and air cleaner along with the car in case the new owner wants to switch engine back to factory look. There's also new weatherstripping included for the doors and a few other misc seals. The Mustang is available for inspection by any serious buyer during this listing.
