It is a 1969 Datsun 1600 that has always been cared for. A doctor has owned this car for years and enjoyed owning it. A girlfriend talked him into selling it to her a few years ago. She drove it a few times and let it sit a couple of years. He found out she was not driving it and bought it back. It did not crank for him. The engine was rebuilt when he had it but sitting up a couple of years the carbs got gummed up. He read where a Miata engine and trans fit great in the car so he bought a good 1997 Miata engine, five speed trans, and wiring harness with header and main pipe with oxygen sensor. He lifted the Datsun engine out and sat the Miata engine in place and it fit great with the gear shift in the same place. That is as far as he got with the project. He is now engaged to be married and it has to go. The original engine can be put right back in or the conversion finished. The Miata engine and trans can be sold easily as the 95 to 99 are the ones people look for. This car has only a little rust popping up under the paint on the quarter panels. Othe other than that it is rust free. The car has a new soft top, a good hard top, new Dynamat, new carpet, new interior, and new muffler. Heated seats were added. A secret hidden radio and 10 disc CD changer are in the trunk. They both have remotes. The car is titled in Tenn and has current registration. The new soft top is 90% installed and will be easy to finish. The radiator and shroud are not pictured but do come with the car. Low reserve so bid to win!
