This iconic sports car is in beautiful shape, is BIG FUN to drive, a total head turner and, if you're not careful, is a ticket waiting to happen! Here is a great opportunity to get a classic, vintage Porsche for a reasonable price and to get into one as the market continues to climb and availability continues to drop each year.We believe that we are the second owners and bought the car in 1998 from the original owner who brought it up from Texas and was replacing it with a brand new 911. We LOVE this car. It's my wife's toy but we are moving and our new home has no room for an extra car.While we've owned it, almost all maintenance was done by a retired Porsche mechanic (genuine German accent and all) at his home. It includes: original Porsche car cover, bra, manual, toolkit and 'CarJacket' storage bag (search the net for 'CarJacket' - car was stored and never driven in winter). Blaupunkt radio/cassette that we got from original owner is included plus installed Porsche radio/CD (see photos). Odometer stopped in 2011 so mileage is an estimate at less than 80,000. 1st and 2nd gear are a bit hard to shift - double clutch and it's fine. 2000-trans overhaul, new bearings, new clutch, sychros. 2001-new alternator. CD player doesn't work. A/C doesn't work. Body is clean except for cracked louvre fin (see photo). Interior is clean except for two small dash cracks, driver's seat wear, steering wheel stitching wear, rear window film ripples and rear speaker mount cracks (see photos). Hydraulic trunk and engine lid struts don't hold lids open. Engine cloth firewall is sagging (see photo).Car is advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
