This was the last year for the W116 Chassis and last of the hand built Mercedes sedans. This 300SD I discovered on a trip to Palm Desert, California in 2005. It was originally purchased in California and is a California model 300SD. It was fully repainted by AutoMetric Collision in Michigan in 2007 at $7,000.00. Research Auto Metric for your own gain. They are the premier paint and autobody shops in the Midwest. They are certified by Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and meet and exceed all of their standards. The vehicle was also sealed on the underbelly with MB factory body sealant. I replaced almost every front end part and control arms, bushing, sway bars, drag link, shocks, and more. The wheels were sand blasted. Powder coated and clear coated by AutoMetric as well. The interior is near show room condition. No tears, rips, holes of any kind. I keep it all dressed and covered at all times. Vehicle is always garage kept. NEW ITEMS: 5 new Michelin Harmony tires in 2009 with less than 600 miles on them.
