Up for auction is my 1976 Ford F150 High Boy. It has 4-wheel drive and a 4 speed manual transmission. The truck is equipped with a very desirable short box, which gives it a really great look and profile, and is protected by a quality Ford bed liner. The red paint is an older respray, which looks great from 10 feet, but has the normal scratches, dings and worn spots you would expect. Chrome and stainless are really nice. The interior is clean with only a couple splits in one seam of the vinyl bench seat cover, which can easily be repaired if you're good with a needle and thread. The truck has 77,300 miles but I cannot say the mileage is original from new. The engine is a period correct Ford 390 cubic inch big block V8, but is not the original engine for this truck. Per the VIN, the original engine was Ford's small block V8. The larger engine gives this truck lots of grunt and it runs strong and has a fantastic sound. The truck has new chrome wheels (from a later model Ford F150) and new tires (Hankook Dynapro ATM 31x10.50R15LT), which look great. I've also installed new Flowmaster mufflers and a new gauge cluster (oil pressure, charging and temperature). I've also installed new weather-stripping on the doors. The plugs, plug wires, carb, clutch, brakes, alternator and battery were replaced by the previous owner, so they are also recent updates. The truck is originally from Oregon and is remarkably rust free.....one of the most important factors in my original decision to purchase it. The truck has two gas tanks, a main and an auxiliary. The rear auxiliary tank is new, as is the tank switch valve. The truck also has power steering and power brakes. The truck starts, runs and drives well. A reprint of the owners manual and a Haynes shop manual is included. Would like to keep this truck but my wife says that something has to go!! Please contact me with any questions.
