This 1960 VW beetle from Texas is extremely rare to not only have an all original 1 owner car that I titled just to put on the road while I was restoring it mechanically to be road worthy. That time has come. Please ask any questions you may have. I got it from the original owner not many miles ago, it sat in an attached climate controlled garage for over 25 years when the owners finally decided to pass it to a family member who would put it back on the road since they had such sentimental value with it. This car runs and drives great, the carb was cleaned the brakes flushed, the link-pins adjusted, and alignment was performed , the horn replaced, the mufflers replaced with care taken to maintain the original heat system since it works wonderfully(very quiet). The car is like a time machine and gets me attention everywhere I go I find myself in a conversation about it. All original, the interior could use some seat covers and carpet, but thats the best part, I didn't change any of this original 1960 survivor car interior because I want to leave that to the next owners preference. Some new carpet and seat covers and it will be like new on the inside. Its not perfect but it will last a long time and has tons of maintenance free miles left in its original state. The car has been tuned up, points set, valves adjusted.and the oil was just changed, running great, good gas mileage.The car is not perfect there are some small dents and dings, but I think it adds to the character, I did replace both door seals but the others are original and I changed the front marker lights to led in the turn signals and the headlights, this looks neat and adds a brightness and less drain on the 6 volt system.,easily changed back to stock if desired, even the interior door open light works, as does the am radio with the original speaker that still allows you to listen to sports like they did in the 50's and 60's. Also this is the original paint, and the motor has never been out of the car so for 54 years old it is as original as it gets,, so I didn't want to touch up anything since it looks as good as it does, a buffer could really bring it back to life.
