For sale is a 1976 Honda GL1000 LTD. This was the second year of the Gold Wing boasting a special model dubbed the GL1000 LTD Edition, with Candy Brown paint and gold pin-striping, special LTD badges, chrome galore and gold spoked wheels. This is 1 of 2000 LTD models exported to the US. This motorcycle has been restored. All original parts have been cleaned/polished/painted as need. It does run and drive just fine (ride it at least once a month). I do not have the original owners manual, tool kit, or key fob. This motorcycle was completely torn down to a bare frame and rebuilt from the ground up. The engine was not split, but both cylinder heads were pulled off and rebuilt with new seals as well as valves lapped. Cylinder bores measured within tolerance. The clutch was replaced as well as the starter motor. The fuel pump was replaced with a new Honda pump, as well as points and condensers. Timing belts were one of the first things replaced on this bike (mileage and date marked). Carburetors were cleaned and rebuilt with new seals and vacuum tested for proper operation. The rear drive hub does not leak any fluid. Fork seals were replaced. And all fluids have been changed and are regularly changed. This is only some of the work that had been put in to this bike. The odometer currently reads ~600 miles, but it has rolled over (only 5 digits). This bike needs nothing, and can be ridden away confidently.
