Vehicle Detail

Here is a one family owned 1966 Jeep CJ5 with 90 degree Buick V6 engine. It has a three speed and it is 4 wheel drive with high and low range. It has around 92000 miles with some being towed milage. .This was originally bought by my father and cousin in 1966 for Deer hunting in Colorado ( It was towed behind their camper to Colorado from Indiana each year they hunted). My brother in law then owned it and he eventually sold it to me. I've had it 10+ years. I have restored it to original kaiser/willys specs the best I could. For the body: I have replaced the floor metal with aftermarket panels. then coated the floor with bed liner. There were several body panels replaced with these panels also. The PAINT was a cheap job that I should have done myself. It needs sanded and repainted. The top is an older BESTOP and it has 2 pinholes in the rear top. It is in very good shape other than that. The front wiring harness is new.The frame is in great condition and I have replaced the wooden 1 byes that brace the floor under passenger and driver with rectangular steel channels.Brakes, Shocks, wheel bearings, seals and lockouts are all less than 3 years old with very little driving on them. I have replaced most of the seals in transmission, both differentials, and transfer case. The engine runs great. New valve job with new guides. The machinist turned the intake guides so that he could install GM valve guide seals. NO CRACKS in either head. The carb is factory newer than 3 years. Brand new ignition parts. Newer hoses.Newer fuel pump. THE WIPERS have been changed to electric. THE HEATER works great. THE SEATS have been restored and covered to OEM standard seats. THE STEERING: rebuilt steering box. Rebuilt steering bell crank. Newer steering stabilizer (shock). Most tie-rod ends are new. THE front end has not been aligned after new parts were installed. FRONT and rear differentials have been drained with new gear oil installed. EXHAUST system doesn't leak but is not original configuration. Trans and Transfer case also drained with new replacement gear oil. VERY GOOD TIRES. The Jeep runs great and drives good. (NEEDS aligned). The transmission hasn't been removed by me, so I don't know the condition of the clutch, throwout bearing or pressure plate. Whoever buys it will have to address this sooner or later as my brother in law didn't address this area either. There is a light intermintant clicking coming from the bellhousing and it could be either the throwout bearing or pilot bearing. The clutch does not slip though and I STILL would not hesitate to drive it 2 or 3 hundred miles before I inspected this.THE GAS GAUGE and the temp gauge do not work. The temp gauge is the sending unit (the post turns and this happened after installing intake manifold after valve job). I don't know about the gas gauge......I have replaced thefloat and gauge, made sure it was grounded. worked a while then quit.
