Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a 1973 Mach I Mustang project car. She runs and drives, so she can be loaded onto a transport carrier w/o issue if you would need to ship her. The car is mock assembled for transportation purposes (i.e. dash is set in place, no wiring installed etc). All the components shown in the photos are neatly boxed and packed in the car. About the car; It sits as purchased, so I can not take credit nor blame for any work done so far. I found it locally, and could not pass up on buying it, as it is quite solid...and solid ones are getting hard to find. Recently... however... I'm getting some pressure from the wife to find new homes for some of the projects, so here we are.... General condition: The car is, as mentioned, quite solid. The frame rails (both front and rear), torque boxes, rocker panels are all very clean. The floors are all solid with exception to one small spot at passenger right foot, and two small spots under the rear seat. In the back, again the rear rails (where the spring shackles mount) look very nice, the trunk floor looks like new. There is one small hole in the left rear wheel well and the left rear trunk drop off was removed, but not yet replaced. There is also one small spot at the top right of the tail light panel under where the seal goes. Drive train: The engine seems to run quite well. I can't make a claim that it is original, as I do not know. Based on all the tags and markings, it is a 1973...for sure. It doesn't look like the engine has ever been taken apart, as it still has the "OK" stamp, stickers as well as the metal tag still on the carburator stating the part number et. al. The car has an FMX transmission and a 9" rear end. The brakes also seem to work very well, however....I would of course suggest going through them, as she has been sitting for quite a while. Please look the photos over carefully. I have made some collages of pics to get more into the listing. Hopefully they are not confusing to look at. All parts included are shown, including the unused (still w/ wrapper) 1973 Michigan license plates (very..cool.... ;-) There are two dash tops with the car, one is in place, the other is shown in the photos. There was clearly a parts car involved somewhere along the line, as there are duplicates of a few items. There is a rear seat back included in the sale, however, it does not appear to be from this car. All glass is included except there is no windshield. There is also a center console which I forgot to include in the photographs. I have tried to share all the good and the bad....please ask any questions before bidding. In person inspections are always suggested. Thanks, Rob.
