Vehicle Detail
My weekend companion is looking for a good home. This beauty is Black on Black. This is the most versatile car you will ever own, the wagon has room like an SUV, all wheel drive good in the snow and the rain, and BMW comfort with sports car like handling. The automatic transmission has a sport mode and a manual shift mode. This is a loaded model with the luxury package and the winter package. Sunroof, power, memory, black leather, heated seats and everything you would expect. She has a BRAND NEW inspection, has a full warrantee with more then 11 months left on it and is ready for a new home. Since I had the unlimited mileage warranty, and my wife is friends with my mechanic I definitely went a little overboard with the maintenance. But my OCD is your gain. As you read on you will see that I have an issue with car care. And my wife is making me sell the car. She has been a great third car and much better to soak up the highway miles then my wife's Focus or my two-seater. We just returned from a lovely trip to Cape May. We also enjoyed trips to North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Virginia. She rides right, steers straight and pulls hard. If I can't get the price I want I will keep her and probably have to sleep on the couch for a few nights. First the optional extras that come with the car. This is where we began to separate from other e46 wagons. (4) OEM BMW all weather "weather-tech" floor mats. Trust me these are pricey. But also a BMW weather-tech liner for the cargo area, the whole car is protected. (2) Working keyless entry keys, one of which is brand new One stylish BMW key chain One BMW cigarette adapter USB charger, its cooler then it sounds Shiny New BMW front license plate Cargo area privacy cover and net Extra power outlet cable from the glove box Comes with a full tank of 93 octane, but she will run on 89 Appearance upgrades: Brand New BMW OEM Headlights, the older headlights will look foggy or yellow, people try to polish them put its only a quick and temporary fix. These new headlights look much better and really light up the night. Brand New fog lights. Same issue as the headlights for these e46 models. But these new fog lights are bright and presentable. She was recently detailed inside and out. Maintenance: She shouldn't need any maintenance for a while. Tires: (4) very recent Michelin mmx4 tires. New Wiper blades and New Wiper blade cassettes Coolant Flush New Thermostat Diff fluid Changed Transfer case fluid Changed Air Filter replaced Cabin Air filter replaced so you breathe cleaner air New Fuel Filter Spark plugs replaced with OEM plugs Tires Balanced and Aligned Always Mobil 1 full synthetic oil and BMW filters. Oil and filter changed today. Beyond Basic Maintenance: Brakes: Rear Rotors and All 4 pads are very recent Suspension: All four shocks, shock mounts, and bump pads have been replaced. The new shocks are the best ones made. Bilstien Heavy Duty. These are the ones BMW owners want, and they have a lifetime warranty. (2) new O2 sensors. New Parking Brake Pads and Cable adjustment Upper and Lower intake boot: these tend to crack and go unnoticed Valve cover gasket New Serpentine Belt New Air conditioning belt Replaced the oil separator with the new updated oil separator and all new hosing, also known as pcv valve Replaced the oil filter housing gasket. Recent Replacements that you won't have to worry about: All CV joints in front axle replaced. Right and left Lower Control Arms and bushings Rear drive axle and drive axle mount replaced Brake caliber New Power Mirror Motor In case I missed anything my warranty is transferable and is good until June 2015 with unlimited miles! The warranty details are below and now the full disclosure bad: Two small beauty marks on the passenger side, one on each door. I hate door dings. There are paint chips from the gravel of winter. But otherwise the paint is shiny. Some weird shcmootz got on the one A pillar, just cosmetic. Some minor cracking on the driver's seat, doesn't effect comfort. Rear wiper not working, I got a new motor installed and have a new stalk in a box, wife forbid further spending. The Warranty Company has been good to me and I've used it without problem at every opportunity. This is the CARS protection plus ultimate value warranty and I am fairly certain it can be extended past June 2015 if you so desire.
