Up for auction is my 1973 BMW "2002" Model. It is the last year of the round taillights ("Roundie") with the chrome front & rear bumpers. The BMW is painted in its original Agave Green paint color with tan camel colored interior. Nice color combination. It looks great and has a really nice stance. It gets a lot of attention when ever it is taken out. It has a 4 cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. Vehicle holds a clear California Title. Registration is current and titled under my name. I have owned it approximately 7 years and has always been garaged kept. There are lots of service records and receipts of parts purchased over the years. The BMW is solid car and not one that has been put together using other cars. See pictures for condition and details. The paint has a nice shine and has been color sanded and buffed. All new upper trim and lower exterior trim. It has the front european turn signals which are flush with the front fenders. Headlights are H-4's. The headlights lights, turn signals, hi beams hazards work, horn works. The heater blower works. The tach, speedometer,fuel gauge, temperature gauge work. The front grill is the correct 1973 original but has been painted black. The front center kidney grill is new as well. Side exterior reflectors are new. The front & rear roundel BMW emblems are new. Rear reflectors, license plate lights, 2002 rear emblem and trim between taillights have been replaced, exterior door handles also replaced. It has Minilite wheels made in England mounted on Toyo tires with good thread. It has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The suspension has performance springs with upgraded sway bars and upgraded shocks. When the car was painted the front windshield, rear side windows and rear windows were removed. New front & rear seals were installed. New windshield. It has a an electric sunroof. The engine is stock with the exception of a Weber 32/36 carb and a Crane Cams Fire Ball XR700 ignition. Runs strong with no smoke issues. Newer battery and starter. New fuel pump. Engine bay is clean. New hood pads & engine bay decals. Newer Guibo on driveshaft. The interior is stock with original weave type carpet and the seating is vinyl and is in great shape, the carpet is clean but looks dark due to shadows. The headliner is black in color, new sun visors, Moto-Lita steering wheel, leather shift boot, roundel BMW emblem on shifter knob. There are cracks on the dash but nothing a dash cover could not cover. Upgraded rear view mirror with a map light from a newer BMW (cool upgrade). It has a basic radio. The trunk area is clean and no rust on spare tire storage area. The only rust that I can see is a small area less than the size of a dime in the lower passenger side (see picture) keep in mind that the car was painted over 6 years ago. Gaps are good on panels.The hood looks a bit high on some pictures because the latch was not fully closed at time of taking the pictures. Most parts replaced were factory BMW parts.
