(We don't drive it much.) - Car runs and drives great. The check engine light came on and went back off a few times at a stop light. i suspect the o2 sensor will soon need replacing.- Transmission shifts smooth.- Belt broke sensor needs to be replaced. - Brakes squeal sometimes when slowing down. (was told i need a silicone rubber pad between the caliper and brake pad...pads are not that old) SUMMERY:I have owned 4 911s. A 1985 cabriolet, a 91 Targa with a ton of performance upgrades, a bone stock 99 carrera cabriolet, and this car. All have been fun cars. The 85 was my introduction to Porsche. Absolutely an awesome car. plenty fast, but have a weak transmission. The 91 Targa with chip mod, performance exhaust, light weight rs flywheel, and lowered suspension was comparable to putting a rubber band on a bulls "junk" and kicking it. It was crazy fast, but sometimes stalled at the light. The 99 cabriolet was a luxury car. Power everything, electronic everything. nice, but scary 10 years later when the warranty is gone and the nickel and diming begins. But the 1995 993. The 993 is an amazing car. It still looks as impressive when it rolls passed you in your hybrid Toyotas, and Smart cars while your drinking your lattes. It's "green" enough, consistently gets about 24 or 25 miles to the gallon.Prepare to hear everyone be amazed that your 5 year old has his own seat behind mom in the back. A letter to the magazine, Sports Car Market recently said these cars are on the rise. The $25k days are over for 993's that have been preserved well. The sound this car makes when you put your foot in the accelerator will make you want to pretend every road is the autobahn. You will get a speeding ticket your first year owning this car. This car is simple. Simple tasks can still be performed like oil changes, brake jobs, spark plug changes, can be done without a hefty dealer service department fee. This car is awesome. It has never stranded me. It has been the sexiest 19 year old car I've ever owned. Have had this car a few years hate to see it go. It will make a great 993 for the next owner. FEEL FREE TO TEXT ME WITH QUESTIONS OR IF YOU NEED TO SEE SOMETHING I WILL SEND PICS. 2522594985 vehicle sold as-is. oh, reason for getting rid of the car. i am sure i will have that question asked.... want my kid more, so going back to court. On Jul-02-14 at 04:21:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention this: The Porsche also has an integrated Escort Passport SR7 radar detector. It has a small display above the center console, two sensors mounted in the front bumper, and one sensor mounted above the rear license plate. This was originally about $1100 radar detector. Its pretty effective. it will alert you to radars and lasers aimed at you. About a year ago, I was driving the car and this thing was just screaming at me. i didn't see a cop anywhere. I was on a straight stretch of a town 3 lane highway that s about 3 miles long. So the radar is just screaming at me. I drive about another 1 1/2 mile, and met a State Trooper coming my way. I am pretty sure he pulled out of the county courthouse at the opposite end of this 3 mile stretch obviously with his radar gun switch on. Anyways, seems to work pretty good.
