1987 Chrysler Conquest TSi for sale by owner ::History of Car:: Had 2 owners. First owner sold it back to dealer for unknown reasons in 1989. No problems with car. 100% excellent condition. My family is the second owner who bought the car in 1989 and has kept the car running perfectly until 2014. All routine maintenance and service was done by my father and serviced with all OEM and recommended parts. All other maintenance has been properly repaired by certified mechanics and dealers. Identical to Mitsubishi Starion and can interchange parts. ::Condition:: The car has a clean title and the body has very minor cosmetic blemishes. Most are from normal wear and road debris. The lower front fascia has slight damage due to road conditions and the paint is fading from the non metal surfaces. The car is actually is very good condition for being 25+ years old. Rear antenna will no longer retract (a common problem among these cars). However, I have an OEM antenna motor that works and can be used as a replacement; as well as spare rotors. The interior is immaculate. There is nothing wrong with anything in the interior. No holes in the leather and all dash lights work. Headliner is in tact and is clean. Includes original floor mats and also has had audio system upgraded to include tweeters, amplifier, sub-woofer, and CD changer. Original radio, equalizer, and cassette player still installed. ::Problems:: As my father is no longer able to care for the car, it has some problems. The car has cooling issues and I have replaced the sensors, thermostat, housing, radiator, and hoses for the car and also bought a new battery. But before I could test if the cooling system works again, it seems the turbo seals have gone bad causing the car to smoke when started. The car still runs and idles but there needs to be some work put into it. That being said, the car is being sold as-is because I can no longer afford or put the time needed to get the car at 100%. I have the complete service manuals that breaks down all the components of the car and can be used as a guide to help solve some problems. -This is a great car that can be used as a project car and will be a challenging but rewarding experience. I feel the car has plenty of potential and still has plenty of miles left for it to go. I've seen many people with these cars that have put the time into them and they love it and are daily drivers.
