Vehicle Detail
1968 Firebird Originally a 350, but now has a rebuilt 400 with only about 1500 miles put on it since. The engine had all of the following newly added at the time of the rebuild: New Edelbrock 750 cfm carb with Performer manifold, high flow Milodon water pump, fuel pump, high torque starter, black powder coated 100 amp alternator, battery and tray, MSD electronic ignition, Heddman headers with flowmaster exhaust, New radiator support, HD radiator with shroud, TCI Streetfighter Turbo 350 Trans with 2400 stall converter and transmission cooler. The car also has a rebuilt 3:43 posi rear with traction bars and recently had a front disc brake conversion done with new master cylinder installed. NOTE: The only issues on the engine are that the rear main rope seal may need to be replaced; it only has a dime size leak under the car, but not enough to have to add any oil during use. The steering box also leaks, but I have a rebuilt quick ratio gear, pressure hose and rag joint for you to replace. The interior: Seats have been freshly reupholstered with new headliner, new dash pad, new door panels and package tray. New front kick panels. The carpet is fairly new and has sound deadener underneath. All the interior dash lights and gauges work. New dash bezels for all the knobs installed, Rebuilt heater box and new heater core installed. All the turn signals work, front and rear. The rear ones are LED. It also has a Replica Autosound AM/FM stereo with IPod adapter. Hurst V-Matic shifter. NOTE: Interior needs visors only. Wiper motor is slow, but works. Car needs new wiper arms. E-brake not hooked up, but has a new mechanism installed. Exterior sheet metal: Front fenders and one inner fender, passenger side door, trunk lid, rockers, 400 hood with tachometer and quarter panels all new. The trunk area has new drop offs and inner and outer wheel wells. New bumpers front and back, new grilles and halogen headlights. NOTE: Drivers door has a small crappy patch job on it, but I have another door for the car that goes with it. The front floor pans are poorly patched (you may want to install replacement ones). The floor of the trunk only has a couple off minor pin holes in it. The roof will only need a skim coat or sanded down before paint because the car used to have a vinyl roof. No rust that I could see remaining. Extras to go with the car: chrome alternator, another starter, Spectre custom modular intake, new OER black gauge carrier, New OER door weather strips, new exterior window felts (fuzzies), another grant sport steering wheel, New OER front spoiler, original trunk lid with no rust or dents, Misc. bolts and hardware and much more. Anything that I have in my garage that fits that car goes with it. I also have all the documentation for all the parts and service that I have done to this car and the original build sheet. You could have any parts catalogs that I have as well. Final Comments: I could not begin to tell you how much time and money I have spent on this car over the years and selling it will be tough for me, but with my recent money issues it’s the right decision. I hate to say this because everyone does, but “MY LOSE IS YOUR GAIN”. The car is very strong and has a lot of pep. It sounds mean and doesn’t smoke or make any abnormal sounds. The tires in the rear are new Cooper Cobras and the fronts were put on at the same time, but have some inner wear (feathering) from when I installed the new spindles that came with the brake conversion kit. This is because I drove for a while before I had the alignment done. Now the car had all the alignment completed with castor and camber. Has nice Foose Nitro rims. Mechanically, there hasn’t been a part on this car that has not been attended to. Serious inquiries, only, please. If you have any other questions please email me. $10,500.00 No reserve Priced to sell (Buyer responsible for pick up or delivery)
