1979 Chevrolet El Camino for sale. RUNS-DRIVES-STOPS excellent. DRIVE IT ANYWHERE! This car was restored about 5 years ago at a cost of about $9500. This included NEW PAINT, tires, NEW ENGINE, NEW TRANSMISSION, u-joints, brakes, bearings, suspension bushings, left outside mirrors, and a few other items. The interior is original, but needs headliner, seat cover, dash cover, and door panel work. Headliner plastic is EXCELLENT. Power steering and brakes are EXCELLENT. The AC is non working. Radio is factory mono speaker and sounds about like you would expect. Tilt wheel good. Cruise control switch broken-don't know if it works but its all there. Color- keyed rally wheels with 3 aftermarket centers. Glass is very good with no cracks or chips. Engine is the RARE base 200 cubic inch V6 and a Turbo 350 transmission. Both have been rebuilt. Non numbers matching. Engine runs GREAT! The monocoat paint is very good factory code 54 Light Yellow. Its not perfect. Body has a small dent near the gas door but there are no other dents in the body anywhere. Absolutely no scratches either. Front bumper is good. The rear bumper is straight but needs rechroming. Left taillight broken (sorry, did that with my golf shoe). Right rear floor has a 6'x6' rust hole from a long ago leaking rear window. The rest of the body EXCELLENT and RUST FREE. Bed is in EXCELLENT condition and is one of the few not to suffer from a bed liner application. The mileage shows 93836. I have no idea if this is accurate. Local inspection is recommended.
