Nice running and riding 1977 Bonneville. this bike has been serviced by us over the years. It is numbers matching and there is a clear Texas title. It has good tires and starts easily. It still has the points ignition on it. Recently we serviced the bike and did the following.... - Flushed both brakes, and replaced pads on the front - Cleaned and tuned carburetors - Installed a new battery - Checked and set points gap -Replaced both petcocks This bike has some aftermarket mufflers on it, which are SO much better than the stock type. The bike has a good sound, and it is not choked down by the stock mufflers. This bike pulls nicely and the brakes work well. There is some very slight corrosion on the front rim, it would clean up with steel wool and elbow grease. the paint is in great shape, and the scallops and pinstripes are done correctly. This is a rider, not a show piece. These late model Triumphs are much better motorcycles than their 650cc predecessors. It has disc brakes front and rear, a 750cc motor, a five speed gear box, the best forks Triumph ever made, and all American standard hardware. You will not have to purchase British/Whitworth tools to maintain this motorcycle. This bike is has been slightly modified with low bars and the aftermarket mufflers. Other than that, it is quite stock. All lights and instruments work, this bike will pass a safety inspection. We test rode this motorcycle before listing, it did great. This bike will cost less money than an older Triumph and provide a much better experience. This bike is capable of cruising on the highway, where as 60's model Triumphs can sometimes struggle to keep up comfortably. This is the old bike you want. Sold as is.
