This 1965 Mustang is a numbers matching two owner Black Plate Original California car with just over 50,000 original miles. The history on the car is easy to trace. The door tag indicates the car was built in 1964 in San Jose Ca. and the original owner purchased the vehicle on August 10, 1964 in Bakersfield Ca. as shown on the original bill of sale so the vehicle is an early release that Mustang enthusiasts would call a 1964-1/2 but it is a 1965. The original owner had the car until 2013 when he became ill and sent the car to auction in Long Beach Ca. I purchased the vehicle with 49,000 miles and drove the car from Los Angeles to San Diego then back to Northern Ca. so thats where the additional 1,000 miles came from. The car is in very clean condition and runs perfect. The electrical is stock and in perfect condition so everything on the car functions including horn, all gauges, wipers, lights, air conditioning, heater, defroster and cigarette lighter that appears to have never been used. All the glass and chrome are in excellant condition along with the original interior. I added the floor mats so they are not stock.There are a few minor blemishes in the paint that are disclosed in the pictures. After seeing what is available on Ebay and other classic car internet sale sites the car is one of the cleanest original cars on the market. The car is tight and goes down the road very nicely and the 289 engine runs fantastic. The transmission and clutch are in perfect working order. The car has spent it's entire life in California so rust problems are not a concern that you would typicaly find on cars from other parts of the country. The floor boards and body panels are solid. There are no leaks what so ever on this car. I have the original purchase order, window sticker, owners manual and additional documentation on the car. I could go on and waste your time but the pictures show the true condition of the car and anybody in the market for a 1965 Mustang would be pleased to own this car.
