I have decided to put up for sale my 1989 GL1500K Goldwing with very low miles, since I still ride it I will be adding more miles. I purchased the bike from 2nd. owner who was nephew of original owner, who gave him the bike, so it was a one familey owned bike. The PO was not a fan of motorcycles, so he road it for a short while and then covered it and parked it under a car port for several years, thus the low miles. I have spent the better part of 3 month's getting it back on the road and now it runs like a brand new bike. The bike has some faint scratchs that will not show in pictures, there are on both mirrors and on lower edge by the knee area's where the cover rubbed off the paint, I have included pictures of them, otherwise the paint shows like new, no fade. I have listed most of the work and items I have repaired or replaced since my purchase. I have decided that it is to much for me, at 73, my body just will not let me ride like I have done for the last 60 years and on my 1994 Goldwing I bought new and rode for 87,000 mi. befor I sold it. I bought this bike mostly to keep my hands and mind working to do what I love, fix and restore old cars and bikes and I just could not let this one go to rot like so many of them do. All electronics, lights, gauges, reverse, cruise control, air compressor,stereo and tape deck all work good, the seat has some tears and stichs, the back rest has a tear as can be seen in the pictures. The mufflers had surface rust from sitting but cleaned up very nice, still solid no soft spots, but show pitting up close.The bike comes with original owners manual, factory service manual, tool kit, trunk & bag liner, air hose and Dowco full cover and both original keys, Also brake covers not installed (I don't like them) come with bike, as seen in last picture. This bike is ready for a cross country run and if the bidding winner fly's into John Wayne Airport in Orange County Ca. I will pick you up and you can ride it back home. If you want it to be shipped, I will work with you, but you must make all araingments with the carrier, I will not crate it.
