1965 Shelby GT350 R Code conversion –Real copy of the original - Not a Tribute!This is an exact copy of the original Shelby number “61 B” VIN 5R002 GT350R race car. It’s one of 25 remaining in the world and 36 ever produced. This car was driven by Shelby’s famed race car driver Jerry Titus and which won SCCA’s National Championship in 1965. Jerry Titus’s car presently sits in a museum and is priceless. Recently one was sold for One Million Dollars. This conversion is true to the original in all mechanical and body aspects. It drives and sounds incredible. Only 36 of the Shelby GT350 R (street legal) special race cars were ever produced and 25 remain worldwide. This car has no issues whatsoever. Huge efforts went into making such a respectful recreation. It is so precise to the original that it was featured in the Mustang Magazine issue which I still have and along with a box of meticulous records and pictures of the actual work progress that took place. This never raced car is a show winner conversion of a ’66 A-Code Mustang to the 5R002 GT350R race car that was driven by Jerry Titus and which won SCCA’s National championship in 1965.
