Vehicle Detail
1996 Chevrolet Impala SSLocated in the Greater Philadelphia area (Chester County). In family since new, and I have both sets of keys and FOBs, all the original manuals, a logo’d fender cover, and the original window sticker. The details are listed clearly below, and yes I'm very explicit in order to give an accurate description of the car--Pictures or video happily provided by request. This is not the first time I've sold a car through eBay, and I'm able to work with the winning bidder to source and facilitate shipping at their expense. This car is a solid and reliable driver with high miles that's been mechanically upgraded between 2009-2011. All the options work except where noted in "areas that need attention" below. It's lived in a garage since being retired from active use in 2011, and has been insured by Hagerty for less than $200 per year with an agreed value policy.Drivetrain: 15k miles +/-Engine:Refreshed 350ci LT1Pump gas friendly 10.5:1 compressionMelling oil pump driveshaft w/ steel collarPorted Aluminum Heads w/ LT4 valves – intake flows approximately 270 @ .500Ported LT1 Intake Manifold CC503 Comp Cam - 224/230 .502/.510 112 (with 1.5 rockers)Crane Self Aligning 1.6 rockers w/ Crane 10308-1 spring kit30lb Ford InjectorsK&N FIPK w/ 2.25 MAF + 1LE Elbow + 48mm stock TB (stock air cleaner assembly included)Uninstalled but Included: 58mm BBK Throttle Body, LT4 KM, 3.5” OE MAF, Racetronix 255 Walbro Fuel Pump & Wiring Kit PCM & Instrumentation: Currently OBDII tuned by Bryan Herter for premium fuel, and is 100% Pennsylvania Emissions Compliant (visual & plug in).Auto Meter Sport Comp Mechanical Oil Pressure & Analog Clock installed in factory gauge bezel.Transmission:4L60E with Sun Shell, Alto Band, Billet 2/4 Servo, updated 13 vane pump kit and new Valvebody Plate/Bushings/Pistons/Frictions/SteelsCircle D 245mm Billet Single Disc torque converterCCC 4” Balanced Steel Driveshaft with 1350 U-JointsExhaust:Focus Tech Tri-Y Steel Headers (ball flange collectors)High Flow bolt-in Catalytic Converters w/ single set of O2’s (ball flange)2.5” Intermediate Pipes to Manual Cut Outs (ball flange)2.5” Magnaflow full case mufflers (welded)2.25" Flowmaster Polished Tailpipes (welded)8.5” Impala Rear Axle:3.73 Richmond Gears Rear w/ correct ABS reluctorEaton Posi Differential 30 spline Moser C-Clip Axles w/Extended Studs TA Girdle CoverWheels & Suspension:NOS 17” Wheels & Center Caps, 1 with light curb damageKumho Ecsta all season tires, rears are brand newStock Sway Bars & bushingsEibach Pro Lowering SpringsHD Bilstein ShocksBMR Rear Lower Control ArmsClass III Hitch (not wired, has never been used, and can be removed)Interior:Odometer well lit, (corrected in 2003)Complete Grey Interior, nothing missing cut or hacked (with exception of black dash bezel with Autometers, I have an original to go with the car)Leather in good condition, with wear on driver side seat back.Dashpad, doorpanels, steering wheel, and carpet show the usual wear, as would be consistent with an 18 year old car in light grey. Additional Notes: With a stock stall in the transmission and 3.73's, the car has been 13.50's at Cecil County with 2.0 60's through the tiny stock MAF and 48mm TB in the heat on Kumhos. It has never been on a dyno. You can search on impalassforum.com for additional history on the car--in addition to being a member since 2004, I have it listed there for sale currently. I was also an early member of Pennsylvania Owners of Super Sport Impalas (P.O.S.S.I.) in the late 90's.
