Vehicle Detail

This MGB was taken down to original paint and in some areas to bare metal. All areas were inspected for rust and all rust was removed and replaced by new metal. All metal was MIG welded, treated for rust prevention, etched, primed and painted in as-close-to-possible original color. The color is a stock Jaguar color and included in the sale is touch-up paint and the paint formula used. A few restoration photos are included in this ad to show some of the work done. This MGB runs great and may have been rebuilt by a previous owner. It idles smooth, accelerates well, and generally exhibits good performance. However, I did not do anything to the engine other that fix some wiring issues and give it a general tuneup. I then changed the oil in the engine/ transmission/ and rear-end, and fired it up. With the exception of the Weber Carb and early exhaust manifold this car is pretty much stock from the factory. The heater is not hooked up and I think the core is bad, but I never hook up the heaters in MGBs anyway as they are pretty much useless in the winter and simply add heat in the summer. Not to mention I never drive my Bs in the winter anyway. This car has a clean Georgia Title, is registered and taged in Georgia. Brakes are in great shape, previous owner replace pads and shoes and generally did a nice job, but rust had set in so I did turn the drums and rotors. Power braking works very well. Engine - 1.8L Solid State Breaker-less ignition, runs on unleaded gas and is equipped with early style exhaust manifold and a 2 port downdraft Weber carburetor. Battery - New Paint - Acrylic Enamel Carpet - New Black Carpet Panels - New Black Panels, including new Door Caps Seats - Original but in great shape Nuts and Bolts - Most replacement nuts and bolts are Stainless Steel New Body Seals - Hood, Trunk, Doors, Windscreen, Splash Guard, Windows, Vents, Hood Bumpers, Headlights, Running Lights, Taillights, and Turn Signals. Brakes - In great shape Tires - New GT Radial 185x65x14 Rims - Knock-Off style in good shape A complete list of replacement parts is available, but way too long to list in this ad.
