Vehicle Detail

Honda NT650 Hawk GT, 1988. This was an interesting bike when it was first introduced. It has a single sided swing arm a small V twin motor, lite with excellent handling. I bought this bike 3 years ago and it has been a very nice bike, very reliable. Since buying this bike I have made a few modifications to improve the handling and the way it runs. The bike has a Fox double clicker rear shock, adjustable for preload, rebound and compression as well as ride height. The stock forks have Race Tech internals and work nicely. The tires are nearly new Michelin Road 2, front and rear. I installed a full Supertrapp exhaust system, K and N air filter and rejetted the carburetors. The motor is stock. The bike runs great and produces good power for a little Hawk. I just repacked the exhaust with new packing material. When I got the bike the front rotor was worn and I was not happy with the front brake. I installed a new wave type rotor from Braking, an Italian company that makes nice stuff, as well as new pads and a stainless steel brake line from Hel. The brakes now work great. I also did not like the stock handlebars, they are too high and kinda uncomfortable. I installed a set of Woodcraft clip ons with CRG lane splitter bar end mirrors. Called lane splitters because they fold in. Because of the lowered clip ons, I installed the brake line, clutch cable and throttle cable that are the correct length for the bars. The chain and sprockets are new as well, EK SRX chain. Also the turn signals have been replaced, these are much nicer looking and they are wired to have running lights. The seat is in good condition, replaced by me with no rips or tears. The oil has just been changed, the battery is good and the spark plugs are fairly new. It runs very well and needs a rider. This bike is not new but for a 26 year old bike it is in good condition. A few issues exist. At some point the bike was dropped on its left side. The frame has some "rash" as seen in my picture. Everything else related to the crash has been replaced. Also the rear portion of the rear cowling, under the brake light has split. This is easily fixable but it never really caused any issues and I never had it done. I have included a picture of this in the listing.I am selling this bike because I don't have much time to ride it anymore, riding my VFR instead. If you want more information or better pictures please let me know. Thanks.
