this truck was restored around 7 years ago ground up and has had very few miles on it. The guy I bought it from said they would drive it a couple times a month till he hurt his back then it just sat for 3 years. First I will tell you what he did to it. The cab is a Gmc from 68. The front clip is from a 69 chevy. The box is from a 90's short box chevy. and he said the motor is from a 1970 chevelle 375hp 454. I can not get to the numbers in the back and front block number not readabile. I checked the head numbers and they are from a mid 80's. So my guess is short block might be 375hp 454 but cant say for sure. The front end assembily is from a mid 80's truck so it has front disk brakes and power brake booster is from 80's. The seats and center console are from a van. Driver side is electric and works. Now I will point out all the things wrong with it that I can see. frontend needs bigger spings rides ok but low to the ground. Since the brakes and front end are 80 and rear 68 the brake proportion valve needs to be changed to 70 cause the back brakes will lock up first. Has good brakes and stops fine but have to push slow or you really stop quick. The paint is ok but not great ameatur paint job. It needs a new heater core. It does not have a back bumper. It had come with a part to make it a smooth back where the bumper would go but I forgot to load it and guy lived about 6 hours from me. There is no radio in it. Now the good parts. Motor runs great and sound nice. There is a ton of new parts on it. dash pad,carpet,firewall insilation,inside glove box,all new windows,door seals,body mounts and the parts under the cab. It has tilt steering(power steering). The tires were weather checked so I put brand new tires on it about a week ago. I did not want to sell it with tires it had on it they looked new but from sitting so long they were trouble waiting to happen. Oil pressure temp and speedometer and fuel gauges work. The seat belts are installed and work good. The motor has an edelbrock carb. A accell coil and headers duel exhaust. There is very little rust. This truck is in great shape under it. Even the back of the rocker panels are like new. A little rust on outside of rocker(see pics) but no rust threw. The truck had a weak sounding starter so it is at the machanics getting a new starter and should be home by Monday so if you wany to hear it run call me Monday or after anytime and I will take my phone outside and you can hear it run.
