This car recently came from a building in southeast iowa where it sat inside for a long time. It steers and rolls for loading. It has a signed title from 1975. This car is 99.9% complete. The motor and aluminum transmission look original to the car. I tried turning over the engine with no luck, likely stuck. The only thing I noticed missing from the car is the radiator. I brought the car to my shop, cleaned it up and put some new old stock white walls on it. The tires were wrapped in a cardboard paper in my great uncle's garage, not cracked or aged that I could tell. The frame looks good and solid. The car appears to have been dealer undercoated, likely why the frame looks so good. The car has an X-frame, and torsion bar suspension front and rear. It has power steering, power brakes, power antenna, and windshield washer among other likely options. The windows seem tinted as well. The floor pans are rusty at the outer edges, as are the inner rockers, the lower quarters and front fenders. The paint appears original except the spots of grey primer around the rust/bondo looking areas in the lower body. The doors, windows, and hood open and close, the drivers side window is the only broken glass. Full original interior still in the car. Was told this is the last year of a true Packard, last year with "body by Packard" tags. It has an aftermarket air conditioning system installed in the trunk with vents in the rear dash panel, and the compressor turns. The horn works, and the headlights and a few dash lights worked when I turned the key on with a test battery. Also have the owners manual. Vehicle is sold AS-IS where is.
