Vehicle Detail
This 1960 A-H Sprite is a bit sad looking at first glance, but is, in fact, a very solid car well worth restoration. In preparing to list it here on eBay, I have stripped the interior nearly bare to photograph otherwise hard to see areas and allow a potential buyer to see quite clearly it's true condition. It is complete. missing only one sat lower cushion. The inner and outer rocker panels, the trunk floor, all the floor areas **, inside the doors and the front 'bonnet', are all in excellent condition, and need surface rust removal only. ** the one exception to this is in the driver's side floor and is a very small area, less than 6" square, and is easily accessible for repair. That spot has a few pinholes concentrated in a very small area and is visible in one of the photographs. The other body areas requiring attention are the bottoms of both rear quarter panels immediately behind the wheel openings. The left side upper rear quarter appears to have been damaged many years ago and was repaired with body filler that is now cracking and lifting. I have provided photos of both inside and outside of that area. I bought the car a few years ago, exactly as you see it here. It has a later model 1098 cc engine and later ribbed case transmission. I have never tried to start it so I cannot attest to the engine or running gear condition. Based on appearances, their is no obvious reason to think it won't run, but I do not know that for a fact. The only other background information that I know is that the car spent much, if not all, of it's life in Texas. Perhaps that accounts for the lack of serious rust. Please ask any questions you may have, either through eBay messaging or call me, Ray, at 217-430-1944. The car is located in Quincy, Illinois and you are encouraged to come see it firsthand if possible.
