Vehicle Detail
I bought the car with around 8k miles on it when I lived in Savannah, GA. I believe it was a rental vehicle prior to my purchase, but with only 8k miles, was no worries. At that time, in that area (flat ground) was getting 60+ mpg. Smooth running vehicle when on gas or electric. Car has a tighter turning radius than my lawn mower. Really a joy to drive. Has power windows and door locks. Touch screen monitor in center of dash controls everything including the interior climate and radio, also allows you to monitor the fuel efficiency real time and see where the power distribution is currently coming from. Car had a few minor recalls on it and were all taken care of by Toyota. Once I took it in for an AC charge and they ended up replacing the power inverter, so you shouldn't have any unforeseen problems with that. Car ran great until Main battery light came on. HV battery said to be the cause, needs to be replaced. Toyota told me it was going to go out for over a year before it finally went out on me. Replaced 12 v battery a few years ago and it has been sitting for over a year. Was getting 48 mpg in the mountains. Normally 50 + mpg on less mountainous terrain/ highway. Car is being sold as is. I know the High Voltage battery needs replaced. Everything else worked fine when I parked it. Car will start up in electric mode but the error for the main battery causes it to be undrivable currently. Electronic transmission will only go into Neutral most of the time. I have been able to occasionally "fool" the car into driving back and forth in the driveway before the error sends it back into neutral. It will have to be hauled to the buyers place of choice to have the HV battery replaced or repaired. I have seen refurbished and salvaged batteries fairly cheap with warranties on ebay. I would keep the car and get it fixed but I have 3 kids now and although we would all fit, I use a larger vehicle now so, it is an extra vehicle at this time and not a priority. I don't really want it to sit any longer. It deserves to be put back on the road or go to someone that could use it. I hope you enjoy and happy bidding.
