Vehicle Detail
Please call 402-525-3979 with questions. This auction is for a very original, #s matching 69 Trans Am. I have a copy of a title showing it being purchased by a man in CO in 1989. He sold it to a collector in Detroit in 2003. I then bought the car in 2010. That's all I have for ownership history. The odometer shows 73,000 and I have no doubt it's actual, however my title shows "exempt" in the mileage section. PHS shows : 4 spd trans, deluxe seat belts, rally wheels, tinted windshield, deluxe interior, AM radio, Gauges Tach/Clock, console, walnut shift knob, Trans Am Body : This appears to be an original sheetmetal car. It looks to me like the top surfaces of the car are original paint and the sides were at least partially painted many years ago. I've tried to show the small rust areas. I have a lot of experience with these cars and own a restoration shop so I am confident saying the car needs only minor patches, it does not need any panel replacement, either full or partial. The underside is extremely smooth and still shows a good portion of the original white overspray. When I got the car I pulled out the seats and carpet for cleaning. As seen from the pictures the floors are amazing. The glass, bumpers, trim, etc are all original are in decent shape. Interior : The car is completely original inside including seat covers, carpet, dash pad, headliner, etc. There is some cracking on both door panels but not to the point that sections of vinyl are gone. There are no rips or tears in the seats and no cracks in the dash pad. The wood grain in still nice. I soaked the original seats belts while they were out and they are beautiful. The carpet is surprisingly nice for original. Gauges all work and the radio works but doesn't sound great. Pictures show a formula wheel which I added but I am keeping it. The original wood wheel will be back on the car and is in excellent condition as is the horn button. The trunk is an solid as the floors and underneath. There was no spare in the trunk when I got the car but I have found a correct dated rally wheel. The jack, etc is in place. Drivetrain : The car runs and drives great. I've listed drivetrain numbers below. Things recently done to the car include new dated plug wires, a new clutch, correct reproduction exhaust manifolds to replace the headers and a complete new exhaust system in the correct configuration. The reproduction tires are nearly new and are on the original rally wheels. The Ramair system is complete and in place. Numbers : VIN-223379N106053 Block is the original WQ with matching VIN Transmission is the original Muncie with matching VIN Rear is the original with ZH stamping Heads are the correct dated 48 castings Intake is the correct dated 9794234 casting Alternator is the correct dated 1100832 Starter is correct dated 1107355 The carb on the car is not original. It do have a correct 9273 that's been restored but is not original to the car. It will be included with the car. I've included by phone number above. I don't respond to texts or email very often so if your serious, please feel free to give me a call. I reserve to right to end this auction at any time.
