This Stude is a strong running, driving machine. The 289 V8 engine has 18,000 miles on its’ rebuild and all routine maintenance has been performed including suspension refurbishing, conversion to an alternator , cooling system flush,tuneup and routine oil changes. It has a throaty sound with dual mufflers and is reliable.All gauges work,glass is clear with no scratches, bubbling or discoloration.Turn signals and lights function as do the windshield wipers.Body panels are straight,paint presents well with just a few nicks near rocker panels from road debris.The car is structurally solid,no rust. The E brake cable has frayed and should be replaced and the brake pedal has shown softness indicating a master cylinder may need replacement. The car remains pleasant to drive and is used weekly. It has the original 3 speed /overdrive transmission it was manufactured with and it shifts smoothly.Long freeway trips at prevailing speed are no problem. This car originated in northern California and I’ve had it for the past three years in Los Angeles, taking it to local car shows and coffee get togethers. At a recent gathering I was approached by a producer for the Showtime series "Masters of Sex", asking if he could feature the car in the series, as the time frame for filming is 1958. To date it has been in 4 episodes which should air soon. It was returned to me recently in excellent condition.Special care was taken by the transportation director to assure no abuse.
