Vehicle Detail
After selling my 1976 R90/6, I purchased this 1987 BMW K75S brand new from Corsetti BMW, located in Ambridge Pennsylvania (no longer in business). I put on about 32,000 miles, then bought a BMW R1100GS, at which time I gave this to my son. He is a GM Master Technician for Cadillac and has ridden this bike for the last several years. We've each bought new bikes and decided to sell our beloved K-bike. When the bike was new I had the dealer install the slightly higher C model handlebars for more comfort. I also added Progressive Suspension fork springs and a Corbin Dual Canyon seat. For some weekend trips I installed a Parabellum tall wind screen and bar-end mirrors (as seen in several of the pictures). The bike is in excellent mechanical condition and very nice cosmetically. The drive shaft splines were inspected at about 30,000 miles and found to have some wear on them, so a new drive shaft was installed and the splines are inspected and greased every rear tire change (very easy to do). Several years ago the fairing and lower belly pan were repainted with original BMW paint due to some stone chips, and the rear fender, under the luggage rack, has some minor scratches due to items strapped to the rack over the years. Otherwise, the bike is original. Included are: BMW Hard Cases, K75 rear luggage rack, original complete tool kit, original complete CO2 tubeless tire repair kit, EBC HH brake pads (front and rear), brand new front and almost new rear tire (Bridgestone BattleAx Sport Touring tires). Spare parts include: Oil and air filter, clutch cable, Clymer Manual and all original owner's manuals. Mobil-1 oil has been used in the engine, transmission and final drive for most of its life. We are located in the Western Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) area for anyone wishing to see this bike. Buyer must make arrangements for pick-up or shipping. Please contact me with any questions. Thanks. P.S. The 1967 R50/2 shown in the background is not for sale.
