This vehicle was a restoration project for my husband. He passed away Christmas Day 2012. Sadly, I'm having to sell for financial reasons. It is a 1965 GMC step-side pickup. It runs good and is drivable. It's a special edition v6. GMC only made a few that year. He done most of the restoring, but had to hire some of the work due to enduring cancer pain and treatment. He hired the installation of the new wiring harness. He and my dad installed to new exhaust system. It sounds so good. He ordered and put new mirrors on the doors. He was such a music lover. He has one more nice sound system in this pickup. It has all the bells and whistles. The bed is beautiful. My husband bought some cypress, which will never rot, and had a local sawmill cut it into the boards. He, then, put numerous layers of a clear veneer coating. My dad helped him install the bed. A new bench seat is still in the box, and it will go with the buyer. He passed before getting to install it. The pickup's straight transmission was originally on the column, but the previous owner changed it to the floor. All the parts are still on the column. My husband had planned on changing it back. Also, to be honest, I'm unsure about the mileage that is posted. I'm in a wheelchair and unable to look, but my husband always said the number showing on it couldn't be correct. It's a nice truck considering it's age. I've been very sentimental about it, but I know my husband would understand my financial need.
