Up for auction is a very clean, very fast, very rare AMC Rambler Rogue. This car still has the original paint in good condition. This thing looks great and runs like a monster. This car originally had the 290 with a 4 speed. It now has a 1972 401 AMC motor bored .30 over with a Reed cam (280 duration and 505 lift, but yes it idles) and 1970 D port heads. The 4 speed trans came from a 1967 AMC Rebel and was completely rebuilt. It shifts nice and has a Hays heavy duty clutch. Clutch is not too stiff, this thing is easy to drive. It also has a Lakewood scatter shield and Comp Plus shifter. Also, the U joints were recently done. The rear end is from a 1969 AMC Scrambler and it has a 354 precision posi unit. It has M&E axles. The rear end was built and installed less than 1000 miles ago. The car has Super Comp headers that run into exhaust cutouts or 2-1/2 inch diameter pipes leading to Flowmaster mufflers. The front end has been completely rebuilt with poly bushings, rebuilt trunions, new springs etc. It also has power front disc breaks from a AMC Javelin. The power steering box came from a 1974 Z28. The rear suspension has new custom made springs and new brakes, shocks, and brake lines. The cooling system consists of a new 3 row radiator, high flow water pump and 3300 CFM electric fan. The car has less than 10,000 miles on it since all of the driveline (powertrain) components have been upgraded. The underside of the car has been cleaned, sealed and undercoated. Under hood has been finish painted. Also, the bumpers have been re-chromed. The tires are bias ply M/T's. Also included is a new set of drack slicks mounted on rims and ready to go. The interior is pretty nice. It has 60/40 black vinyl seats. The dash, door panels, sail panels and carpet are all in fine shape. No rips or cracks anywhere., The dash bezel has been rechromed and everything works. It does need a headliner. This is a super sweet car that runs like a monster but easy to handle.
