Vehicle Detail

This 1972 Dodge Monaco 2 Door Hardtop is as close to showroom original condition as you will find. It is just as nice as it looks with very low miles - 39,050. The paint is original and all the body panels are straight with no evidence of rust or ever having any such repair or other damage. The green vinyl roof is also the original one and in excellent condition. I tend to shy away from using words like "time capsule" but in this case it is warranted. This car has obviously been kept in a garage its entire existence and the interior is virtually flawless - even the dash pad is without any cracks, which is very rare for these models. The Monaco runs beautifully, like new and the optional 440 cu. in. engine is exceptionally smooth and powerful and the transmission shifts flawlessly. Even the factory Holley 4 bbl carburetor works well. The Monaco is also whisper quiet with just a little exhaust note. The chrome is very good to excellent and the car is styled with a unique design that is striking and always draws considerable attention. The original window sticker goes with the car and is embossed in plastic along with the sales information. The owners manuals are also included in the glove box. The a/c and cruise do not work, nor does the clock. Otherwise, everything else functions well. This car has some interesting options including turning lights that illuminate the way during a turning maneuver, a sure grip differential, a heavy-duty suspension, and much more as outlined on the car's window sticker. Maintenance has been recently done on the Monaco, including new antifreeze, oil change, fuel system updates including new fuel pump compatible with today's ethanol fuel, and associated rubber hoses and a new filter, plus a new float in the fuel tank sending unit and a new smaller high speed starter. All the gauges work fine. I have not put many miles on the car during my ownership, wanting to preserve the newness of the vehicle. Even the interior still smells like factory new and the interior seat design is also striking, garnering many compliments from all who see it. If you want a close to showroom Monaco that will not disappoint, you would be hard pressed to do better than this car. Please let me know if you have any questions and be sure to have considered all your circumstances before placing a bid. The sale will be final with no warranty or return. Shipping will be the responsibility of the winning bidder but I am willing to assist as needed. Overseas bids are welcome.
