I purchased this beautiful 280SEL last November from the original owner. Finished in Dark Red with Cognac leather interior. He purchased this car on July 6, 1972. He took tourist delivery on this car at the factory in Stuttgart through his Mercedes Dealer in New Jersey. I have all of the tourist deliver documents from his dealer as well as the factory. This is a totally rust-free car that has been pampered it's entire life! Having only traveled 63,488 miles since new. Included with the car are ALL of the original owner's manuals, original sales brochures, window sticker, original title, original Bill Of Sale, complete unused tool kit, jack, spare tire, original keys and every other document that it was delivered with. In November I had the front rotors and pads replaced. Just this week I had (4) new Hankook Radial whitewall tires installed and a complete stainless steel exhaust ($1395). It's also had a service which included a set of Bosch Platinum plugs. I also had two new horns installed, and all new heater vent levers. This car runs and drives awesome and everything works on the car except the clock. I have pictures of the pristine floor boards and trunk. It appears to be all of the original paint, interior, carpets, and headliner. The only negative area is some tears in the leather in the back seat. I have an interior shop here in Maine that can repair them for $450 but he's booked through the middle of June. I did price out a new back seat leather kit and it's $750. I do have several other pictures that I will be happy to share. I can also help with shipping quotes both open and enclosed transporters. I believe that this car comes with every factory option including, leather interior, AM/FM radio, AC, Sunroof, and whitewall tires.
