Vehicle Detail

Here is an article written by Richard Lentinello "A low price can easily tempt you into buying a rusted-out car; however, you can avoid a lot of problems and expense by buying a car that's solid and complete instead. Your potential project car doesn't have to run, or to have nice paint or a complete interior-rather, its far more important for its metal structure to be solid inside and out and be devoid of any major frame or body damage. Spending a few extra dollars for a car with less rust will greatly reduce the overall cost of the restoration, because you won't have to spend thousands of dollars buying replacement body parts and patch panels, nor will you have to pay a hefty labor charge to have those panels installed" A solid base will also help insure that your project doesn't end up in the classifieds as a basket case. And that is what we have here, a very solid base to build on. This car has been off the road for a long time, and has probably never seen salt, and doesn't seem to have ever been involved in an accident. It was built in the Oakland California plant and spent its life in the southwest desert area. Has the California one piece bumpers and they are very straight. This is an all original numbers matching 99% rust free car. The surface rust on the under side can be easily sanded to shiny smooth metal, without any rust pits to deal with. The gas tank could be cleaned up and used, the oil pan is straight and dent free, and in that picture you can see the front cross member is not pushed up like almost all of them are, from placing a floor under it. Also, the rockers have never dragged on anything. There are a couple small dents in one fender, one cracked vent window, and a little paint bubbling at the very bottom of drivers door. The air cleaner is missing because it was an after market item that didn't look good. It hasn't run in a long time either, and I haven't tried to make it run, so assume it needs rebuilding. There is no title, but if that is a problem in your state, then I can get one.
