Vehicle Detail
We had this posted this before and had a winning bid but the person neglected to view the address not realizing we are located in San Jose/Santa Clara region of California and he was in Modesto. We allowed him to cancel the contract as we realized this would be a financial burden to him for towing the vehicle such a distance. We are reasonable people and understand that mistakes happen and at the same time we ask that you do your due diligence so that we are not burdened either as being disabled has enough challenges of it's own already.Parting out 1987 Toyota Camry 180k miles, I replaced over $1,500 in new parts not counting labor over the past four months. The reason for no labor charges is since I'm disabled I had the work done not by a dealership but by student mechanics at CET in downtown San Jose. This saved me a lot of money since I could not afford the dealer prices for repairs. The car is in somewhat running condition. What I mean by that is up until a couple of weeks ago I drove the vehicle a few times a week to my Dr. appointments but the driver’s side front bearing went out and I just couldn't afford to throw more good money after bad and put any more parts on this car. I purchased a newer used vehicle and just want to sell this to someone who may want to repair it or use the new parts on another Toyota they own. I just want to recoup some of the money I invested. Here are some of the items replaced in the past four months, Sway bar, sway bar bushings, sway bar mount plate, outer tie rod ends, rotor, brake pads, rebuilt calipers, new water pump, Tires are good more than half tread is left on it, 4 new shock assemblies, new shock mounting kits, lower control arms, lower control arm bushings, new ignition assembly with coil and cap, new fuel control solenoid, new spark plug wires, new spark plugs, fuseable link, brand new starter, new timing belt, New water pump, new serpentine belt, new thermo control module, new oil and filter, flushed radiator, charged air condition unit which is really cold and multiple misc. items like head lights, break lights etc. The engine runs and so does the transmission but it started acting funny where it took a few seconds after I hit the gas for it to take off so not sure if the transmission is all that good for a long time. The engine turns over and runs but with the bearing on the wheel now making noise I had to have it towed back to the house and it sits in my driveway. So you will need to have it towed as it can't be driven in the condition it is in. There is a little damage on the passenger side door and the front panel from a jerk who came to close to me but other than that the interior is not torn or ripped and everything works including the stereo system. It may sound like I know what I'm talking about but I don't I had a friend write all the parts that were replaced for me. I'm asking only $800.00 O.B.O. I’m disabled and I live on a fixed income and I feel this is a fair offer. I am losing money on it but would like to pay my family member back some of the money they loaned me for my newer used car. Sometimes you just need to cut your losses and move forward.
