This is a 1966 Ford Mustang GT ( A real GT ) coupe. It is a A code with a 289 V8 engine 4 barrel carb. it has a C-4 auto transmission, originally a four speed car, but had a automatic put in by the previous owners sometime in the 80s. This car is a real factory built GT model, there are things at the factory that are done to a real GT that this car has that are not seen unless you know what to look for, some of those items are special exhaust reinforcements under the rear seat and double reinforced floor pan (see picture) Large front sway bar 13/16 (see picture) Faster Manual steering gear box 16.1 ratio with tag HCC-AX (see picture) Large single master cylinder (see picture) Factory holes thru radiator support for fog light wires Factory front Disc brakes (see picture) these are just some of the things that make this car a true GT , there are a lot of this on the outside of the car also. this car spent its whole life in the very dry central California, it has no rust that I can find. it has been in Oregon now for about 4 months, it has not been driven in the rain and is kept in a garage. The engine and transmission are in very good condition, the engine was rebuilt about 25,000 miles ago. The car runs and drives very good, all the lights and gauges work (the speedometer works but is off about 10 miles per hour) the horn does not work. there are a lot of new parts on the car including Brand new Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. (50 miles on it) Brand new Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold (50 miles on it) 4 brand new 15 inch tires (50 miles on them) 4 brand new 15 inch wheels (50 miles on them) lots of new chrome and interior parts new alternator and battery Dual exhaust about 1 year old.
