I have owned this vehicle since 1998 and despite being a reliable car and spending a lot of money on repairs the automatic transmission(4HP22) has given up... The Positives: 1. Battery is about one year old. 2. Four tires are about 2 years old with less than 10000 miles on them. 3. Front passenger seat was torn and was replaced with a good used seat. 4. Brake master cylinder and brake boosters were replaced last year. 5. Car was making a whining noise from rear so we replaced the differential & rear wheel bearings a few months ago. 6. Replaced the rack & pinion a couple of months ago. 7. Replaced the cracked dashboard with a brand new crack-free dashboard a few months ago. 8. The car starts but spending over $600 to replace the transmission the car does not move. 9. The spark plugs, fuel filter, and air filter were changed a few months 10.The thermostat and heater core and coolant lines were replaced recently. 11.The drive belt and power steering belt were replaced recently. 12. The odometer was fixed and works now. 13. The car body looks fine but needs paint. 14. The auxiliary cooling fan and AC fan resistors were replaced.15. Rear brake pads were replaced two months ago. The Negatives: 1. As mentioned above after replacing the transmission with new fluid & filter the car would not move. 2. Rear power windows stopped working 4 years ago. Front power windows were working but stopped working after replacing the dashboard. 3. The AC stopped working last year. 4. The power antenna and radio/ cassette player do not work.
