Vehicle Detail
I apologize for the re-list! My "Buy it Now" price was in error. No other details of the auction have been modified accept the "Buy it Now" price. 2002 M5 145,000+ miles Free and clear, non-salvage title VIN WBSDE93442CF90951 Registration valid through 4/2015 California smog passed, valid through 7/1 German muscle. Meticulously maintained by enthusiast owner/driver. It’s never easy to part with a car you love, but it is that time. The car no longer fits with our growing family. I’ve owned this car for 3 years, and have poured a lot of time, sweat, and money into it. Great platform to continue refreshing, modify, or just drive as-is. This is my daily driver. It looks great, but isn’t a show car. If you are looking for a garage queen, look elsewhere. A/C, heated seats, all electronics functioning. DVD based navigation works, but disc is an older version for the western portion of the USA. I averaged 18.5mpg through ownership. Gets 24mpg on long freeway drives. Pros: Very well maintained (see list below) - recent inspection and maintenance by local pro shop Engine pulls strong All stock, never modified by me (no obvious signs of modification by previous owners) Just about all major chassis components are “new” (within 45,000 miles) You will be stared at, waived to, commented on, dared to race, etc. Things still on to-fix list (not exhaustive, but I'm listing as many things big or small that I can recall): Driver seat stitching a bit undone Dash pixels come and go Rear seat needs a recondition; small area of damage (pictured) Left headlight sprayer damaged by road debris (pictured) Right rear window may need regulator (still works, makes noise)Rear-view mirror doesn't dimExterior of vehicle is in good condition overall, some minor door dings and paint sv Interior showing signs of age Maintenance: Within last 5000 miles: Rear tires (Continental DW)Auxiliary fan Front differential bushingFront brake rotors Rear brake lines, clutch hydraulic line Brake flush 10w60 oil change Within last 20000 miles: Alternator Power steering pump Front wheel bearings Rear wishbones (x4) Rear balljoints Radiator hoses / coolant flush (BMW fluid) Front/rear brake pads Air filters Within last 30000 miles: Idler pullies and tensioners Belts Power steering hoses, fluid flushed Within last 40000 miles: Front upper/lower control arms Tie rods Center steering rod Front sway bar bushings Valve cover gaskets Spark plugs Pre-cat O2 sensors Within last 50000 miles: Fuel pump Fuel sending unit Differential oil seals replaced A/C system maintenance (evac/recharge)Clutch (LuK) During last repair work (AUX fan, few other things), my shop indicated the vehicle has an occasional VANOS rattle at startup. It isn't a mechanical issue, just a matter of course for the milage. It's done it for as long as I can remember. Just mentioning for the sake of full disclosure! Vehicle has NO WARRANTY expressed, implied or granted. If you have questions, please ask before bidding. Vehicle will continue to be driven daily until winning bidder has been determined, milage is an approximation based on current reading. On May-07-14 at 16:42:15 PDT, seller added the following information: * Additional items that need attention and were omitted in error:- Sunroof slides but doesn't tilt (the unit will fully open). The tilt arms need to be replaced (BMW has a kit); rattles over bumps.
