I am selling this car for the family of a friend who recently passed away. This car was the victim of an engine fire years ago that burned the wiring and plastic under the hood and dash. The car was then improperly towed breaking the drive shaft and transmission bell housing. The drive shaft damaged a small area of the floor in the transmission tunnel area which has been cut out and needs repair. The original aluminum hood was ruined by the fire, but this car comes with a used hood that needs some work. The complete nose was properly stripped to clean bare metal and was shot with sealer primer. As far the body is concerned, there are dents in the front fender tops and there is damage between the driver's door and fender. There is bubbling in the paint along the door bottoms and rear quarters. The floor has some rot in the area of the driver's footwell. The convertible top is complete, but the fabric and wood will need to be replaced. The interior is fairly complete with most of the small parts in the trunk. Some of the car's major components that I know are missing include the steering column; drive shaft; exhaust system and windshield. The actual milage is unknown. Please look over the photos closely. Although it says "clear title" in the listing the title is missing and presumed lost, so it is being sold on a bill of sale only. This is a no reserve auction.
