Up for adoption is this 1974 Satellite Sebring, a California car all of her life and she needs a new home. You could call this a yard find or a rescue. You see my husband has a habit of bringing home strays!! He found this car headed for the crusher while he was perusing the aisles of the local junkyard. I shop for shoes, he shops for junkers. The story he got was the owner passed some years back and it sat in his garage for many years, the family didn’t want to fix her so off to the scrap yard where my husband found her. He brought her home under the cover of night hoping I'd never notice. Needless to say, I noticed and was not very happy, my husband has more projects than he has time for. He has agreed to let me find her a new home, so please help me find this rare beauty a home and get my husband out of the dog house. This is truly a California car with not one spot of rust bigger than a nail head, no accidents, no major dents. This car is a survivor to the truest it is unmolested and everything is there. V8 318 2bbl carb, Electric choke, EGR, A/C, power steering, power brakes. It was a vinyl top car but the top was removed many years back, the chrome strips still in place if you want to put it back. Rare body side molding is also in place, some will need to be straightened. Headliner has been removed. Front seats will need to be recovered, the rear seats look good as do the back side panels. Drivers door panel is a little crispy from sun as is the dash pad. The gas tank comes with the car but my husband pulled it out to see if he could straighten it out, but it will need a new one. In my husbands opinion the tow truck driver dented it beyond repair when he was loading it into our trailer. Rear brakes will need to be redone, some springs have broken and wheel cylinders are leaking. The car runs good and drives, stopping however, is a bit of a challenge because of the rear brakes, front are disk brakes and seem to be working good. Wiper motor needs new arm bushings and maybe a switch, because they run all the time, so he disconnected the motor. If you go through it and give it some tlc like it needs you will have a great looking car that is very desirable. This car would be a great Hot Rod since it's no longer required to smog in California. This car is being sold with a bill of sale AS IS, WHERE IS.
