Vehicle Detail
What we have here is a beautiful 1964 Sport Fury that i bought from a guy who was moving to a smaller house with less garage space. The car is in exceptional condition for a 50 year old car and someone performed a pretty good restoration on the vehicle. I have not seen any evidence of rust popping through the paint and the restoration I would guess has a few years on it. The car runs and drives and stops as it should. The exceptional:The chrome is the most exceptional part of this car. It is all in excellent condition including the swirl marks on chrome down the sides. The bumpers are good to excellent, The Wheels and hub caps are like new. The good:The paint is a good to very good and the body lines appear to be fairly straight. The Trunk pan is solid no rust. the floor board had some rust but has been patched and is solid. (all these cars have had rust in the floorboard at some time) The interior is in good shape including the seats with no tears and good carpet. The dash appears to be original to the car. There is an aftermarket tach and a instrument cluster with Oil Pressure and Temp gauges hooked up. All factory gauges appear to work as they should. All lights and signals work as they should. The car has an aftermarket Shifter that has ratchet functionality and it works as it should both in ratchet mode and auto mode. The car is very nice under the hood and with a little cleaning would show very nicely. The car steers and handles great. The tires are in good condition and look almost new. Engine is a 340 out of a 72 Duster that has been built with a small cam, an 850 holley carb, new plugs, wires, aluminum valve covers, aluminum pully's headers with dual exhaust with thrush type mufflers and it sounds great. 727 transmission that shifts as it should and does not have any noticeable problems. Video Walk Around: http://youtu.be/a7-XQGRJzlM The bad:The passenger side sun visor is in need of some attention (driver OK). The car needs a lock for the trunk. If i missed anything it is not intentional. This is an awesome car and fun to drive and really turns heads going down the road. It is not perfect but it is exceptionally nice. It is a driver for cruise in and taking your girl out on sunday afternoons. I do not expect to get 50k out of it like the pristine restorations on Ebay.
