Up for sale is my absolutely beautiful bright red 1966 El Camino. The truck has slick super bright red paint with steel cowl hood and factory rally style wheels. The truck has a had it's rust free bed rhino-lined for protection. The Interior has been modified with a later model tilt power steering column, grant steering wheel,power windows and custom charcoal colored velour inserted door panels and bucket seats. Added is a custom built console with a B&M shifter with storage. The suspension has been upgraded with any old worn out bushing,shocks & springs replaced. The brakes have been upgraded to a power 4 wheel discs with a later model rear end. The exhaust sounds great with a dual system with flowmaster mufflers. The engine bay has been completely detailed very nice touches of chrome. The engine is a freshly rebuilt factory .60 over-bored 283 CI short block with factory steel crank along with updated cylinder heads with screw in studs & guide plates. For some extra punch we added a mild Elgin street cam,lifter and valve spring combo,Wiend aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4 barrel electric choke carb. The ignition has been upgraded to an HEI electronic distributor and msd wires. All of the cooling system has been replaced including heater core, alm. radiator, shroud,hoses, water pump and belts. The trans is a turbo 350 with a mild shift kit attached to a B&M shifter. All the electrical has been gone through along with a new engine harness & cab forward harness from M&H electric- all lights & blinkers work perfect. The car was an original Ac car and previous owner removed most of the items but kept them and will be included with sale, we added a custom firewall AC delete plate that keeps all the under dash parts working including heat & blower along with cleaning up the look of the firewall. The body is super straight with no waves and the bed is rust free,the floors have had a few small metal patches but are sealed properly & solid. We cleaned and detailed the under carriage and inspected all the metal and it's solid from front to rear including the bed floor. All in all it's a super solid truck that you would be proud to show off at any cruise night.
