Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Hi there, if you are looking to buy a Boss 302 then you have probably seen the videos, read the articles and done your research and you do not need me to bore you with my rhetoric about how the car was developed. What I will do is tell you a little about this one and then list how it is optioned. First I want you to understand that this is build # 24. How that low of a number found its way to a little dealership in the mountains of Southwest Montana during the first month of production in spring of 2011 is beyond me and Helena Motors. What I do know is, in late 2010 and early 2011 the large Ford dealers around the country were given an allocation of the 2012 Boss 302 based upon their previous Mustang sales history. At the same time all of the small Ford Dealers in the country were entered into a national lottery for a Boss 302. I was at my dealer the day they were notified that they had been successful in the drawing and I bought this car sight unseen. During the initial fielding we all took what arrived at the dealerships, build number whatever and optioned as whatever, and color whatever. I don’t know about now, maybe you can order one. Having said that, if I could have picked the color and options for my car, this is the way I would have ordered it. I took possession of the car in April of 2011. For the first two weeks it sat on the showroom floor along with an original 1969 Boss 302. The two cars were the showpiece for a local promotion for the dealership. Since that time it has sat in my garage. The car currently has fourteen hundred sixty six miles on it. Most have been short rides just to keep the battery charged and one eight hundred mile trip to and in and around Yellowstone Park and the Tetons. I live on a dirt road between Helena and Butte Montana; therefore I keep the car garaged in Helena, Montana. Sometimes it sits for weeks and months at a time. I don’t use it; I have other collector cars and trucks that I drive to and from town, I don’t use it, so I would like to pass it on to someone who would be more passionate about it. As I said, I am sure you know the basics of the car and all its performance and handling features. In part of Ford’s hype they have gone record stating, “If it doesn’t have to do with speed it is not on this car”, in fact they took several pounds of sound deadener out of the car so you can better hear the engine and exhaust. The options on this car include: · 3.73 Limited slip with traction control · Engine block heater · RECARO sport eats · Boss 302 floor mats · Boss graphics · Boss 302 car cover (never opened) For all practical purposes this is a brand new car. It has been washed once since it left the dealership. It is also under factory power train and corrosion warrantee until April of 2017 or the first 60,000 miles; at the rate I have driven it the miles part will be sometime in the next century.
