Up for sale is my 1982 Toyota SR5 pickup that was originally sold in Georgia and lived there most of its life. Heres the story I got: One owner all its life in Georgia from an elderly gentleman who purchased it new. He died and the truck was locked up in the estate for quite some time. His best friend eventually got the truck and got it running so that it could be sold which was done a few months ago. It was sold to a gentleman in Richmond KY who had been looking for this exact truck to restore. He wanted one with good bones. After realizing that his childhood dream of restoring one wasn't going to happen, he sold it to me. I hauled it on a trailer from there to Glasgow KY where it now resides. I have done absolutely nothing to this truck other than drive it around for pure smiles. I am an avid Toyota enthusiast and know how hard it is to find one with a solid frame. (GOOD BONES :) I don't need this truck and I am in the process of a remodel on my house so it's time to let someone else enjoy the truck. This one deserves to be restored and not just turned into a crawler or off road rig. I will tell you all I know off the top of my head. Stop by and check it out in person and maybe even take her for a spin. Toyota pickup with sr5 package. Original owners manual. 5 speed transmission. Has factory AC and Power Steering. The ac belt is not on the truck and the compressor spins freely. It is 4 wheel drive and has lock in lock out hubs that engage properly I did try that out first thing. High and low range work as well on the truck. It has bucket seats which have been swapped between driver and passenger because passenger side sits more comfortable. :) The dash looks incredible. The radio does not work and the speakers are missing out of the doors. The previous owner did put in a brand new windshield and gasket because the other had a crack. With the old crack, it leaked in and ruint the carpet so its missing. There is a rust hole that a golf ball would not fit through in the driver side floorboard. The rear brakes are soft and are going to need work sooner than later. One of the sliding glass is broke and was replaced with a piece of plexy glass. The carb is probably going to need rebuilding for it runs rich. The frame is extremely solid and the bed, well there are some spots where the seams meet but an easy patch. No bumper. So if you have read this far then you know how hard it is to find one of these trucks. That is all the bad that I can tell you and for a 30+ year old truck I consider these things to be very minor. Now for the good: I would not hesitate to jump in and drive this little truck just the way it is all the way to California and back. Perhaps I'm crazy but I know how reliable these little 22r engines are. I give no guarantees for it could blow up tomorrow but it is one solid little truck. This truck is the most solid 82 toyota I have ever seen. I love it but it deserves treatment that I can not provide for it at this time. I have tried to give a very accurate description of this little beast. I try to represent the truck as honest as possible. There is no bondo and spray paint to hide it. What you see is what you get.
