Vehicle Detail
I'm a semi-retired mechanical engineer and my specialty is Super Magnas. Of the 100+ Super Magnas I've restored over the last 15 plus years, this is one of the prettiest to come out of my shop IMO. I wanted to make this one unique and the new paint is striking. It's the stock red with one additional coat of the top coat red applied. The result is a deeper, richer slightly darker than stock red. Mechanically, I have gone through and serviced everything and anything that needed attention. All too often, low mileage Supers may look good on the outside but lack of use takes its toll on the unseen 27 year old grease and seals on the inside. This Super was worthy of a complete going through as follows: Fork seals replaced and new fork oil added Hydraulic clutch master and slave cylinders completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. New hydraulic fluid added and system properly bled. Clutch handle bushing replaced. Clutch rod engine oil seal replaced Front brake master cylinder and caliper completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. New hydraulic fluid added and system properly bled. Rear brake assembly completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. Drive shaft oil seal replaced and new gear oil added to damper assembly. Rear Final Drive gear oil replaced. Left and right side handlebar switches completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt with new diaelectric grease. Throttle and choke cables pressure lubed. Exhaust crossover weld reinforced (where they always crack and leak) Carburetors completely disassembled, cleaned, rebuilt and synchronized while running with Carb tune synchronize tool. Engine oil pan removed and cleaned, oil pump strainer cleaned. Fresh engine oil and filter installed. Engine valves adjusted to factory spec. The bike was then test ridden for a little over 100 miles. All systems works as they should and there are no mechanical issues. The transmission shifts as it should and there is no slippage in any gear. The rear seat is included She's good to go!
