* I apologize for canceling the previous listing. However, I did not want to leave anything to chance. Some potential problem areas were brought to my attention, and after inspecting these areas, I discovered there is more rust present than originally believed. I have added a description of the problem areas to the description below. I have added several new photos via the link. Please view the linked pictures before placing your bid. 1977 IH Scout II Pictures * Truck has not been driven in about 8 years. When I was driving it daily, it ran well in cool dry climate, but it idled somewhat roughly and would quit on me in hot humid summer weather. It has been parked in the elements for the last 8 years. There are gaps and worn out seals allowing rain/wind/dirt etc. to get in. Interior is dirty with dust and dead bugs. Wasps have nested in it in the crevices of the doors and under the hood. I cleared out the nests I could find. There are a few dirt dauber nests under the hood as well, but they appear to be abandoned. I wouldn't be surprised if a field mouse or two found its way inside. No signs of any. I'm just stating the possibility. Battery is dead. Tires are flat, so it will need to be towed at buyer's expense. Interior is discolored with dark and white blotches...looks like it could possibly be mold. Both passenger doors sag. You have to lift up on them to get them to shut flush. Neither shut totally flush with the body, but they stay in place. The inside door handle of the passenger side door has fallen off, but I do have it. The door lock knob/rod is also removed, but I have it also. The paint is faded. It appears one of the previous owners had some bondo work done on the rear driver side above the tire well. There is also a dent in this area above the rear bumper. The truck needs a good washing inside and out. * Since the tires are flat and grass is grown up around the vehicle, I am unable to inspect the frame of the vehicle. There were no known issues at the time of purchase. I had the vehicle professionally inspected after I purchased it, and no issues were found. I experienced no issues with the frame while it was my daily driver. However, considering it has been in the elements for several years, I can offer no guarantee regarding the frame's condition. Please see disclaimer in bold. * Everywhere I know there to be rust is pictured. The extent of rust in these areas is documented to the best of my ability. Known rust issues are as follows: Hard top has rust. Lift gate hinges are rusted and torn from hard top body. Back area of interior has rust around edges of tire wells. Exterior of rear tire wells have rust. Bottom of tail gate has rust. Front driver and passenger floor beds have rust. There is rust under the front tire wells. There is rust along the bottom edge of the passenger side door. Please click link above to examine photos. * Engine is original with low mileage of 77719 miles. I had the following replacement work done immediately after I purchased it: air filter, heater control valve, radiator hoses & bypass, flush cooling system, spark plugs, 2 alternator belts, power steering belt, radiator caps, heater hoses and clamps. No work has been performed on the truck since then. The original owner had a Sears cruise control installed. I have the owner's manual for it. He also installed running boards. I also have the original owner's and maintenance manuals and the original line ticket for the Scout. The original line tickets lists the vehicle as having deluxe exterior and interior trim packages. * I am the third owner of this vehicle. The original owner was from Chambersburg, PA. I have a copy of his original title. The second owner was from Collierville, TN, and he purchased the vehicle at a car show in 1998. I have the paperwork for the second owner's Tennessee state tags. I purchased it from the second owner in 2004. I have the Mississippi state title for the vehicle. * I have described and photo documented the condition of the vehicle to the best of my ability. Obviously, mechanical and cosmetic work is required to get this vehicle running and looking its best. Considering the age of the vehicle and my limited knowledge concerning the mechanical and cosmetic restorations needed, this vehicle is sold as is with no guarantee or warranty implied. * As previously stated, this truck must be towed. The battery is dead, and the tires are flat. Towing is at the buyer's expense. I prefer Local Pickup, but I am willing to assist your shipper to the best of my ability. A $200.00 non-refundable deposit through Pay Pal is required within 48 hours of auction's end. PayPal is acceptable for the deposit only. The balance is due via money order/cashiers check or cash in person within 7 days of the auctions end. * Please do not hesitate to ask questions.
